PROTECT US GOD

Protect us God, is an arrangement by Eline Wins.

Many of her arrangements are inspired by significant or impactful events. Often, it is the more painful emotions that find their way into her music.
The following arrangement for concert harp – solo, was created when the war in Israel broke out, and she was shaken by the cruelty that people are capable of.
Tragic events like these are becoming more frequent, and one wonders: How much longer can we live in peace and safety, go to bed without fear of bombings, do our shopping and go to work or school in peace?

During this time, she came across the beautiful song “Bewahre uns Gott” (lyrics by Eugen Eckert, melody by Anders Ruuth). The words resonated deeply with her in light of the situation.

“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”
